In these days and ages, bicycle era has been taken over by the oil-consuming motorcycles. People no longer travel using bicycle as it was influenced by the industrialization and liberation of the country. Vietnam, indeed in the process of becoming one of the fast growth and developed crouching Asian Tigers. Our home country, is far cry from their performance. Their mentality, culture, society are quite identical to the China as it was once under the Chinese rules for thousand of years.

Claypot Chicken Rice

Most of claypots were heated under the flaming hot fire of charcoals (old-school style). The chicken cube was well marinated and the meat was tender but not given enough, a little stingy here. It was less aromatic compared to other stalls due to the amount of ikan masin was scarce. However, the rice was fairly cooked, just nice! This dish is recommendable as the chicken was delicious!

Kowloon Mosque

Located in the hustle and bustle of the Hong Kong city. The mosque is an impressive pure white marble building, situated at the junction of Nathan Road and Cameron Road in Tsim Sha Tsui.

I admired the Hongkies for their level of tolerance and acceptance towards other religions. In fact, the ethnic and cultural mix of people is partly what makes Hong Kong an interesting place to visit.

Where can you find such a pure and peaceful mosque in the heart of a city? During prayers time on Friday, there are no illegal parking along the roadsides that will cause a traffic-jam nor illegal stalls that sell keropoks or beverages that contained high level of sugar and colouring, whereas back "home". You name "it", they got "it"

Unlimited supply of oysters from the seafood counter.

Stir-fried the inoki under the hot flame of teppanyaki. Doesn't failed to impressed me.

Mini Lobster

Abit disappointed with this dish. Not fresh and resulted the meat to be soggy.

Lamb shank

The lamb shank was seasoned with herbs and spices, giving it a very aromatic flavour. On top of that, having not forgot the tenderness of the meat. Each bite was heavenly and chewy.

Baked-Hokkaido long legged crab

Dish of the day, the baked hokkaido crab. It was baked with cheese and topped with sauce which was savoury and little sweet. It was definitely succulent and delicious.

In my point of view, i think u must try this! once u put this thing into your mouth. Full with strong flavour. Have "Want-Summore" factor in it. It has a layer of cheese in between of the unagi and sushi.

Crepe cakes – literally crepes stacked one over the other with a filling binding the layers which have been around for ages.

Dark chocolate flavour

In my humble opinion, this dark chocolate crepe is the most delicious cake i have tasted so far. It has a very strong flavour of chocolate. Eating them slowly while savoring the layers in between that dissolves in your mouth leaving behind whiffs of chocolate, impossibly decadent and light at the same time.

Original Mille Crepe Cake

You should try this golden-brown crepe cake which is the original flavour offered by Nadeje. It was spread with a thin layer of mascarpone cream onto each layer of the French crepe. Although the price was quite pricy, RM8.50 per slice, i would think it is reasonable as the whole process of making this cake is time-consuming, accuracy of each ingredients quantities and so forth.

Slowly cutting the cake from top to bottom, which lead me to feel the existing of each layers. Having not forget the taste of the crepe which was like eating slices of cheddar cheese that would marry well with the slightly savoury and the moistness of the crepe slices.

Sliced- Porkies

I ordered a pork set. Which came in pretty generous amount of pork meat. Fortunately, they were all fresh, as i have tasted not very fresh ones at the Firemen @ the Curve (Closed-down jor)

Pork's Fat

Instead of butter or oil, pork's fat were used to substitute them. Why? Izzit cheap? No, pork's fat isn't cheap nor expensive. The price of one kilo is slightly cheaper than a few sliced of leaned pork meat. As for your information, the pork's fat (zhu you za) is a must in every plate of Hokkien mee . Fragrance is another issue, but most importantly is the "Umph" factor to be precised.

Thats how the sliced-pork sounds like when it was sizzled under the hotpan.

My additional side order

There is an old chinese saying, if I'm not mistaken, it is pretty much goes like this way: "Wide Mouth, Small Stomach" I agreed unanimously on this matter. Often than not, I always order lots of food which my stomach couldn't take it. At the end of the day, most of the food were wasted. Sounds "jit toh" hor? Yeap, therefore, i try to hold my tongue before it could make it way to order another foodies again.

One of the top seller besides durian cakes and kaya swiss roll is the durian egg tart. The outer layer of the tart, the custard is crunchy and has the "melts in your mouth" feeling. Well, for the fillings, has very strong aroma of durian as if the durian's flesh is in it. Without a shadow doubt, most of the durian lovers would love to taste it!

Homemade Bruschetta

This was the homemade bruschetta specially made by the iron chef. Without much ado, the ingredients were given quite generous though and well, it reflects how generosity the chef is, ahem. It has mozzarella cheese, mushroom, ham and even garlic dices for its topping. Yum~yum. The chef even took the trouble to prepare me with different ingredients, as coincidentally, it was the 15th according the lunar calendar which was suppose to be my vege day. For mine, the exclusive one, was specially prepared with mushrooms and cheese only. However, it was still taste well. Bite them all at once and you’ll find yourself nodding in satisfaction. I’d definitely order this again in my next visit.

Barcelona, Spain is one of my destination if i would travel to Europe in times to come. The icon on my keychain is actually the Sagrada Família church created by local renowned architect, Antoni Gaudí's masterpiece. The church is still under construction since 1882. Without doubt, it is still funded by private donations according to the sources.

My favourite companion, never failed to miss without them from any occasions.

Stir Fried Romaine Lettuce a.k.a "Fu Yu Chow Yao Mak"

We starting with some vegetables, the stir fried Romaine lettuce was fresh, with the fragrant smell of fu yu and fried garlic. Those vegetables were supplied from nearby farms, Bukit Tinggi or Bentong.

花肉 Crispy pork belly

This dish is a "hit" as most if not all, the restaurants in Gohtong Jaya do offer that dish. It was our side-order. It was indeed a crispy one as the skin was just thin enough to result in extremely crispy texture. Pretty addictive too! Literally, every bite, you can feel the crunchiness as if you were munching biscuits.Yet, it was appetizing perhaps due to their sauce. If my tongue still functioning well, it would taste a little sweet and sour which quite similar to marmite sauce i would say.

Sliced-Fish Mee Hoon

Food of the day, we had the sliced-fish mee hoon instead of the frog mee hoon. As mentioned by the boss that the frog meat was not fresh. Quite impressed on the honesty of the boss huh?

Anyway, we opted for the sliced-fish mee hoon which came in rather large portion with thick and aromatic soup. Firstly, the sliced-fish itself was fresh and the meat was tender. Then, come with the handmade mee hoon. I loved the texture of the mee hoon which was tender and "kew" that hardly can be found elsewhere. The soup was flavoured with ginger, garlic, "xao xin jiu" I enjoyed this thoroughly, and drank most of the soup as well! Couldn`t resist lor.

The most important part is that, after consuming the soup for a couple of minutes, i can feel the warm blanket flowed through my body. *Activating blood circulation* It was awesome for such cool and breezy weather at genting. Keep u warm always. I mean it, ALWAYS!!

They will offer you additional bowl of soup as a standby-mode, just in case you have finished up the first serving.

Last but not least, i would recommend you guys to pay a visit to this restaurant before heading up to genting higalnd or maybe vice-versa.

The setting of the restaurant

The setting of the restaurant was dim and has a good air-circulation as we were dining at the balcony. It was quite comfy to be precise and it is a good place to spend time with your love ones.

Monster platter

The platter cost RM15. It has fried shrimp, calamari rings, mushrooms, chicken wings and nachos. Not bad afterall, just that the nachos were hard to bite.

Pasta with bacon cream sauce

Sirloin steak

This dish is only RM16. Where to find such price in PJ area oh?? Although the meat was juicy, however, it could not meet my expectation of the tenderness. To my horror,while slicing apart the steak, i could see bloody red meat appeared in front of my eyes. In addition, I could tell that there was not much marination done to the steak, just barbecued and poured directly with sauce on top. Perhaps it is just Rm16, what do u expect? On top of that, "Tasty lies on the tongue of the beholder."This was quoted from this person whom i admired for her determination and never-die spirits, once said this barely few days ago.

Overall the food here is decent for its price. Would recommend you guys to have a try in this restaurant which located at Centre Point, Bandar Utama.

My blog was untouched since the final exam. Been busy with my new job which started last week. It is my first job. Well, it is not the pay that matters here, instead the experiences which i can gained through as as an employee. The feeling is totally different from last time.

Barely few days, i learned to be discipline. No ular-ular. Finally, I can feel how employees think and feel towards their employers.

Previously, i was like an extinct animal. Protection and care, are never far from me, always there for me. However, i doesn't want such treatment. I really want to feel how the outside world is. I would like to feel how is the feeling after reprimanded from the boss (make my face thicker). Very good to me though. I need it very badly.

Yes, yes. no matter how far i go or how high i succeed. Finally, one day, i will be still be coming back. I believe one day, everything i learned now is just part of my stepping stones towards my goal or literally, it is just the beginning of it.

Without the only star, meaning there is no light up ahead that can guide the traveler throughout the dark and sorrow moment.

Lesson Number One
A crow was sitting on a tree, doing nothing all day. A small rabbit saw the crow, and asked him,

"Can I also sit like you and do nothing all day long?"
The crow answered "Sure, why not."
So, the rabbit sat on the ground below the crow, and rested.

All of a sudden, a fox appeared, jumped on the rabbit and ate it.

Management Lesson:
To be sitting and doing nothing, you must be sitting very, very high up.

Lesson Number Two
A turkey was chatting with a bull. "I would love to be able to get
to the top of that tree," sighed the turkey, "but I haven't got the
energy."

"Well, why don't you nibble on some of my droppings?" replied the
bull.
"They're packed with nutrients."

The turkey pecked at a lump of dung and found that it actually gave
him enough strength to reach the first branch of the tree.

Bullshit might get you to the top, but it won't keep you there.

Lesson Number Three
When the body was first made, all the parts wanted to be Boss.

The Brain said, "I should be Boss because I control the whole
body's responses and functions."

The feet said, "We should be Boss as we carry the brain about and
get him to where he wants to go." The hands said, "We should be Boss
because we do all the work and earn all the money."
And so it went on and on with the heart, the lungs and the eyes
until finally the asshole spoke up.

All the parts laughed at the idea of the asshole being the Boss. So
the asshole went on strike, blocked itself up and refused to work.

Within a short time the eyes became crossed, the hands clenched,
the Feet twitched, the heart and lungs began to panic and the brain
fevered.

Eventually they all decided that asshole should be the Boss, so the
motion was passed.

All the other parts did all the work while the Boss just sat and
passed out the shit!

Management Lesson:
You don't need brains to be a Boss - any asshole will do.

Lesson Number Four
A little bird was flying south for the winter. It was so cold, the
bird froze and fell to the ground in a large field.

While it was lying there, a cow came by and dropped some dung on
it. As the frozen bird lay there in the pile of cow dung, it began to
realize how warm it was.

The dung was actually thawing him out! He lay there all warm and
happy and soon began to sing for joy.

A passing cat heard the bird singing and came to investigate.

Following the sound, the cat discovered the bird under the pile of
cow dung and promptly dug him out and ate him!

Management Lessons:
1) Not everyone who drops shit on you is your enemy.
2) Not everyone who gets you out of shit is your friend.
3) And when you're in deep shit, keep your mouth shut!

This is very important utensil where it use to keep warm the dish n heat up the soup

Fish Head Hot Pot (爆锅鱼头煲)

Try to hold back your saliva from dripping out oh.. This fish head were deep fried first before it was poured with specially made sauce into this pot. The meat was flesh and the flavour for the dish was a blend of sweet, sour and spicy sauce. Yea, is a YUM-YUM!

Chicken Hot Pot (鸡公煲)

Here is the signature dish of the restaurant. I ordered a mild spicy as previously i had tasted the super-hot which really burned my tongue out. The aroma was fully filled our nostrils. The pipping hot chicken is best served with rice as the chicken was well-marinated and has absorbed the spicy-gravy into it.

Vege as a side-order

When the chicken pot were half way empty, i ordered the staff to pour soup into the pot. (You can choose spicy-soup or non-spicy soup). Hence, this is where the side dishes come into the picture. The soup was spicy and pepper-ish, yet it's hot but I just can't stop myself to have more and more pour into my bowl.

The sliced beef were wrapped with the golden mushroom and grilled with teriyaki sauce. This dish was fabulous as the meat was tender and juicy. Whilst, the gravy itself is very tasty as you can dipped other sushi on it.

The stewed-scallops were grilled with teriyaki sauce. It was well grilled and maintain the tenderness of the scallops fresh.

The steamed-egg that topped with faked-shark fins. Better eat it while it is still hot.

Salmon-Fried rice

The fried rice is filled with the aroma of salmon slices & garlic as it was fried under the sizzling pan of teppanyaki style. On top of that, japanese rice was used instead as the texture of it is small and fragance compared to the one we ate in our normal days. This is a recommendable dish.

All the plates and bowl were all cleared. Left nothing behind. This showed how we ate greedily huh? ^^

I'm proud that malaysian able to produce such significant movie that manage to travel across the wide-ocean and admired by people from other countries. The director, Tan Kheng Seong or better known as Ah-Niu, has bring much local flavour into this movie. The setting of the movie itself, was set away from the hustle and bustle of the city life. Each big cast in this movie has different distinct characteristic and they able to act them professionally. Salute them!

This is their newly launched coffee where the coffee-bean have been gone through the process of roasting. Without doubt, the aroma of the coffee was fine tune and simple in taste. As usual, this coffee is still way behind from the old-chinese style black-and-thick coffee served at the kopitiam. They are more to learn from them.

McMuffin

This is my all time favourite breakfast at MDD as the good combination of both chicken sausage and egg, having not forget about the strong flavoured-cheese tucked all together in a freshly toasted English muffin. Btw, what type of cheese is that?

Approximately 6.30 in the morning, I was sitting at the restaurant alone. ( as usual). There was no other customer during this early morning except an old lady wearing in a pink-flowery baju kurung also sitting alone at the other corner. She was having her breakfast.

Maybe something caught her attention, she stopped munching the food in her mouth, and stared towards my direction.

We both have an eye-contact for about couple of seconds. During these couple of seconds, there was an insights-exchange between us. Without any further delay, I blessed her with a simple smile. (Early morning ma, can't expect much, as part of my face muscles haven't wake up yet) and then headed towards the counter.

It was an awkward moment though. Why this Mak cik, staring at me for? Am I that seducive? (Syiok-sendiri while writing this post) Nah, perhaps, there was really something attracted her attention, not mentioning me in the context.

There was a minor disfiguration on the surface of the cake although it was not done delibrately. It was my first time of tasting oreo cake and it was not bad in taste though. But the oreo biscuits have lost their crunchiness.

Marmite pork ribs

The pork ribs were well marinated and blended with the marmite sauce. Hardly, find any dim sum outlets providing such dishes.

Cheesy Clams

Oh..well. This ain't nice though. Before this clam managed its way near to my mouth, it was already cold. Perhaps, it has been prepared few hours ago. But the taste would be different if it was served in hot.

Fried Prawn-roll

Woo...This fried prawn-roll taste much better than anyplace that i have been tasted so far. The outer layer was crunchy, while inside was moistured. We had ordered two plates of this though.

Loh Pak Kou

This loh pak kou is also recommendable although it does not have enough of turnips' flavour in it. Nevertheless, just by its look itself has already inform u that how crispy of this loh pak kou is.

Wu Kok

Through deep oil fried, has created this crispy and crunchy wu kok. Wu kok is actually made from yam. I have tasted a better one at Seremban.

Egg-Tart

This is also another YUm-Yum here. The skin of this tart, is crispy. The egg itself also taste very nice.

Phoenix's Claw (Kaki Ayam)

This kaki ayam taste absolutely wonderful. It was well fried before it was steamed. The sauce has been absorbed into the chicken's feet.

Dumpling with scallops and prawns

This dumpling is quite worth the price as it has scallop and prawns in it. I would suggest you to order this rather than "har gao". Both are similar in price, if i'm not wrong.

Lotus seed Pau stuffed with salty yolk inside.

This is my without failed-order each time i visit this dim sum outlet. For those who like to eat thicked-skin pau, this pau is the best choice. I like to taste original taste of flour.

There are 3 types of cheeses flavoured into the crust, namely Mozzarella, Parmesan, and Cheddar. Initially, i thought this pizza would taste heavy in cheese, but hey, it wasn't. These cheeses went very well together.

Pan Pizza with Thai Seafood flavour

Lastly we also ordered a new flavour pan pizza that we haven't t try before. It was an exotic taste of Thai- with spicy tuna chunks, crabsticks and squid. It was blended with thai sauce & mixed herbs, garnished with coriander leaves.

Amit also known as Ah Mei, 张惠妹 will be coming to Malaysia again. Without failed, i had bought tickets for the concert as a token of appreciation towards our "bonds" which i truly and sincerely believe in.

Last year Ah Mei's concert was a fantastic one that brought everyone high from beginning till the end. The atmosphere really bring us to the highest point where most if not all, everyone in the stadium, stood up, waved hand frantically, and danced together. Before she ended the concert, she had promised that she will come every year. Yes indeed, she has made it!

Back to her name, Amit. I wondered why she change her name.

It was a glimpse into the glory days, where the previous one has already made her through thousand miles and even once recognized as the Taiwan's icon. Perhaps, she is applying marketing concepts into herself. Seeing herself as a product, where it has a cycle which is called Product Life Cycle (PLC). Nah, just abit of recalling of old memory only as I have once taken Principles of Marketing as one of my elective subjects during my foundation. Did very badly though, just barely passed only. ^^

Drivers in Malaysia

Following writings is just my point of view towards the driving attitudes of most malaysian drivers. Although, i'm aware that i'm not in any position to judge others because i'm not a good driver either.

First and foremost, let me introduce you the scenario 1 where vehicles still using the baned-Xenon lights which are total nuisance and hazardous. Why? They tends to blind the drivers (me) in front. The owner will not know or be affected until someone (me) using the Xenon or high-beam light shines back on them.

Have you ever experienced yourself travelling at the max speed of 110km/hr on the fast lane, relaxing with FM 98.8 , only to be interupted by a nuisance car just about 2m behind your car flashing the headlight and "telling" you to get off the fast lane? If you have not, then you will not understand why I am so annoyed with their reckless speeding.

Apart from that, as a driver, u must know each lane has its own appropriate speed limits. But don't tell me u are driving at 60km/hr at the fast lane? If yes, then you are really deserved to be flashed headlight or in a worst scenario, being thrown eggs or honked.

Yes, yes! Most of us will agree the fact that speed does not kill, but careless kill. But, now can you tell me, if speed kill why there are many cars can overtake you when you stay at 110km/h and at the same time, no accidents happen ahead of you. If speed kill, do we hear the news that buses, which could have more than 10 trips per day, involve in accidents everyday?

Oh ya, don't we forget the road bullies or so-called "Mat Rempit . These morons are from the dominant race of whom You and i know for sure. They are the "products" of our excellentie gomen's education system. Moreover, their parents played a very important role too in the making of these "rubbish of the society".

I can't wait to share this with you guys. Before, you wanted to cut into the other lane, you will switch on the signals right? But here, in Malaysia, dunno where they got this kiasu or kiasi spirits that once you turn on the signals, they will accelerate in just a matter of seconds and won't give a single inch for you to cut in. "Wa lao, come on la, just to cut in only ma, cannot meh? also not ask you to cut off oh". Nevertheless, milk will remain milk; water will remain water. Justice will always be served to whom he or she deserved.

Malaysians are curious lot! Whenever, something out of the ordinary (even the ordinary, like two cars crashing into each other, bumper to bumper, front to back) happens, they must slow down or even worst still, stop to look! They cause unnecessary jams even though the vehicles involved in the minor accident do not block the road! Many a time, even the peaceful roads opposite will affected and caused massive jams because of this lackadaisical attitudes.

Last but not least, what goes around really comes around. If i want to get the people's driving attitude right. I will first settle my own attitude. ^^

Seafood Tomyam

Stepping into Thai restaurant without ordering any tomyam soup? Is a No No. Its my habit to order a tom yam soup each time i dine at a thai restaurant. To me, i think that, the reputation of a thai restaurant are mainly based on how good their tomyam soup taste. On this case, Rak Thai's tom yam soup is slightly above average only as the soup was thick enough and flavoured with a variety of seafood. It was just right in terms of spicyness. The amount of coconut milk is mild, as too much will spoil the cook. However, it is abit sour to consume compared to other tom yam soup. But, i had managed to finished up two bowl of tom yam soup on that day. ^^

Pandan chicken

Very aromatic even before you open the leaves, and the chicken inside was well marinated. The skin was still a little crispy, and the interior was all moist and flavourful. The chicken cube was folded into these pandan leaves and went into deep fried. It has the trace of the pandan's aroma on it. Overall, this dish was a so-so dish as i had tasted a better one at Ikano.

Choi-sam

This dish was special as it was topped with crunchy fried sea-weeds. As for the choi-sam, it taste normal only.

Fried squids

As usual, hardly can find any nice fried squids around. As for this fried sotong has too much flour on it le. However, it was crunchy and still have the moisture on it. It melts into your mouth when you consume it.

Sizzling Beancurd

The soft and fragile beancurd sizzles on the hot pan, creates great aroma. But the taste was so so only. Better try this while it is hot.

My left eyebrow keep vibrating by itself. Does it show a bad sign?

The soup was made from bean sprouts, yuk chok, red dates and so on and so forth. The soup was literally sweet though as the ingredients added was genuine and fresh.

Reunion dinner

Its been 7 years we didn't have such dinner at home le. This is what i would like to cherish every year where every members in the family is presents for this meaningful dinner. Normally, we would dine at the restaurant, due to convenience, we altered the initial plan and had it at home.

Without doubt, the experience would be very different. The experience of dining at the restaurant can be described like dining at the fast food outlet where the dishes were served out very fast just that services were provided. Taking for an instance, normally, we would sitting down quietly and enjoyed the moment of sipping the shark fin soup. But, the last cny reunion dinner was a sad case where before we could finished our shark fin soup, another dish was rushed out from the kitchen. Having a second thought, are they rushing us out from the table? Mind you, all the dishes were out in just 30minutes! How efficiently they can work huh? wonder when our gomen sectors can compete with them. ^^

Yesterday dinner was treated by my elder sister and brother-in-law. Their company which was established barely 2 years, has finally showing a good and clean report card. Bydaway, it was our 2nd reunion dinner though as the first one was held at home (steamboat) during the 30th lunar calendar.

It was my first dining experience at Sakae Sushi outlet. It was a terrible experience though, as the services were below par level. Perhaps, the timing was wrong as it was still cny. not enough staffs to operate. Wasn't it a common knowledge to hire more staffs as a "standby mode" in order to meet the demand during these peak seasons? As usual, everything will fall back to the basic human's instinct, "Profit Maximisation" .

Today, was officially my year 3 class started. It was a good kick start of the day. Where a good motivation class was given during the late afternoon. then, once I reached home from class, I gotta start to work le.

I just finished my work. Feeling exhausted and very hungry right now. Gotta rest soon as tomorrow gotta wake up early for morning class. I'm here to express my feelings since there is no other venue for me to do so. Enjoy in working huh? The answer is YES. MORE money ma.

Chinese New Year is just barely few days from now. People tend to buy things at the eleventh hour. So, without doubt, we gotta work harder and provide good services to meet customers' demands.

After knowing my father is sick and ill, has added more burden on my shoulders. Couldn't celebrate this cny with pleasant and harmony moment ma?

This was the tastiest home-made spaghetti i have been tasted so far... As you can see, the sauce was rich with ingredients from sliced-button mushroom to fresh tomatoes from Giant supermarket.

Grilled-Dory fish

The dory fish was well grilled as both sides were equally grilled in golden colour. Each fillets was deliciously marinated to the meat with herbs and spices. but it was abit salty only. Don't worry, practise make perfect.

Salad

Salad was served as a starter. It was a good appetizer as the vege was fresh and crisp.

Bun

The bun looks like a normal one but in fact it is not. This is because it’s served hot from the oven and the aroma of the bread is so tempting. With a slice of Anchor's brand butter, it actually melts into your mouth.

Shark Fin Soup

This was so called Hong Kong style shark fins soup. To me, the taste was good as it was served hot from the kitchen. It was recommendable.

Garlic Bread

The bread was spreaded with garlic generously. The texture was crunchy outside and nice aroma can be smelt. It actually melts into your mouth once it was bitten.

Seafood Tom Yam Soup

Don't let this photo deceive you, as my skill having reach the par level yet. This tom yam really taste good! It has thick tom yam essence.

Escargot

This is my favourite dish of all. It was served with garlic cheese gravy. It has the "Uphmm.." factor here as the gravy has been absorbed into the flesh of the escargot, making it very aromatic and nice to consume.

Phoenix Combo

The meat was tender and served well with the brown gravy. With the combination of both chicken and prawn together on the hot and sizzled pan, has created a great fusion.

Seafood Pallete

From prawn to crabs. you name it, this seafood pallete have it. Haha, not so "kua jeong" la. Anyway, it was a nice dish.

The chicken flakes was free as it was part of the monthly free meal for Kimgary membership cardholder. The chicken was crunchy and yummy as it was well marinated and fried.

It was a taste of haven with a combination of variety of mushrooms with cheese and sweet corn gravy on it. Thumbs up!

Double cheese Unagi seafood Rice

It was a delight food for cheese lover, as it has both kind of cheese, mozzarella and new zealand's cheeses. But to me, this dish was kind of bloatedness.

New Zealand Cheese with pasta sauce on Unagi Rice

This dish here certainly did not fail to impress. It was nicely baked with small shell served with mixed seafood and creamy tomato sauce , it mixed really well with the paste.The amount of cheese was perfect, still have the elasticity, not too much and not too little. However, if you are a cheese lover you may not enjoy the mild cheese slices used on this dish.

Seafood Palette on sizzling plate

Grilled salmon fillet served in thick black pepper gravy along with mixed seafood and potato wagges which was very crunchy. It also has sotong ring. Hot and crunchy on the outside while soft and chewy in the inside. Delicious! This is one of my favourites because I am a fan of salmon and the sauce really blended well with the salmon.

As for mine, both of my cousins celebrated my 21st birthday with me although it has passed few days after the actual day. Anyway, it was a fine dine and good deal tim. Tada...this is my favourite order each time i dine at Wong Kok. It's taste never failed me. The thick gravy of cheese and sweet corn blanketed on top of the chicken wings was superb combination! Haha

Nothing special about this dish. The noodle was just a simple wan-tan noodle. While, the chicken was not very nice either. It has too much flour on it. Plus, the gravy was too sweet and sour le. No good, no good.

One peace was never enough for her. So, another "peace" was shown

Pictures taken above were at Bali. While walking in the market, suddenly, something caught my attention. It was these typical Balinese little girls were sitting on the floor. Hence, i decided to grab my camera and took some photos of them. As you can see, one of the girls was very sporting! She keep posting infront of the camera while the other standing straight like a military style perhaps she was nervous ba.

I like to take photos of children especially the candid photos as you can see through their eyes showing how innocent and stress-free they have.

It is an usual companion of the Bah Kut Teh. It was dipped inside the soup to loose some of it crunchiness and absorb the taste of the soup.

Dry Bah Kut Teh

Here comes the main dish of the day, Dry Bah Kut Teh. The thick gravy has been absorbed into the pork meat. Hence, the meat was juicy and tender. Sliced sotong and lady fingers were add into it, making it more aromatic. Bydaway, I had tasted a better one in Klang. Hehe

Initially, i thought we were celebrating for ms and yt's farewell so, they bought a cake. To my delight, it was actually meant for my birthday. Haha. I was in seventh-heaven and surprised. On top of that, at the same time, there was a band playing birthday song in live for me too!! I thought they were hired by them to give me surprise, mana tahu, it was really co-incidentally, the band so ngam passed by to sing for charity purposes only.

Last but not least, a lovely souvenir from yee teng as she was back from vacation.

Pork Satay

The satay was good, it can be eaten even without the satay sauce. The satay sauce was different from Malaysian taste. I don't understand how they can marinated the satay in such a tasty way. Ma ma Mi Ah. Two thumbs up!! Peanuts were blended to paste and mixed with the satay sauce. There’s no crunchiness in the paste. On top of that, those satays served were meant for us to D.I.Y (masak sendiri)

Star of the Day : Bebek

Bebek in Indonesian means duck. We were brought to this lovely restaurant by the friendly tour guide, Ah Ben. The Duck was obviously a bit dry, but the meat was good. Blend it with the sauce, it will be tastier. The only downside of it was that, there was still fur on it. Just imagine!! masih ada bulu!! Thanks alot to the person who is very kind and patient enough to peel of the skin for me as i have phobia against it since child.

In a nutshell, it is a must try it once u are in Bali.

Got to wear the sarong in order to enter the holy temple as i was wearing short-pants,not because of "Bak Zham Gai" =.=

On the day one, the tour guide (Ah Ben) or Benjamin, brought us to the Tampak Siring (the Holy temple and spring) . Ah Ben is mature in age, but his name seems to be a little younger than he is huh? Sorry, no picture of him taken.

Due to the constraint of picture sizes, it has been keeping me away from posting pictures as the pictures are too large to be upload.

Mozzarella Cheese Ham on Grilled Chicken

This is one of my favourite.The chicken chop was well marinated with lemon grass and spices. It was grilled and served with fries and salad tender and juicy. The mozzarella cheese ham was gorgeous although the amount of cheese has been reduced gradually compared to last time. The meat was tender and juicy. This is a recommendable dish.

Fried Mee-hoon with rendang chicken

It was a beautiful Thursday afternoon, where it was hot and sunny. The sun was blazing like a hot ball of fire in the clear blue sky. After we had checked in our luggage, we still have time on our hands and my stomach was groaning. So, we headed to the Taste of Asia which located at the opposite of "Mug Dong Dong" aka McDonald.

I ordered a plate of fried mee-hoon with rendang chicken which i had been craving for a long time ago. Before trying the taste of sambal n rendang chicken, i had a feeling like a burning sensation in my body. Sweats were trickling down from my body profusely as the mee hon itself was already hot. Perhaps, i can't take that amount of hotness. As a result, i had been visiting the loo for few trips the following days. Serve me right...

It's been a while i didn't update any post as i was away from the hustle and bustle of the city's life. I have spend a whale of times at the cultural island of Bali, Indonesia.

After we had reached at the Bali International Airport, Denpasar. we were welcomed by the local tour guide who was co-incidentally a Chinese who can converse in mandarin and hokkien too.

Then, from the airport, we headed to our dining place which is a chinese restaurant. The taste of food here was quite similar with our local cuisine as it was managed by a Teochew boss. Before soon, we returned to our hotel for some rest.

I will continue further on my next posts.Thats all for now, i got to sleep now... Zzz...

As you all know, I'm staying in a shop-house and has a limited spaces for planting greenies. In light of these, my parents utilized part of the penthouse for planting small plants and trees. Frankly saying, i do not know most of the plants and fruits' name due to their uniqueness and varsities.

It is good to plant some plants. You may not know sometime when u need some, they may come in handy.

*Fruits and plants above are all home-planted. My mum and maid are the one who should receive the credits for the efforts of planting them. Pesticides are not being used here.

Don't let this small bowl of asam laksa cheated on your eyes. The taste of it was definitely, much better as the soup was quite thick with sliced-kampung fish.

This fried oyster was quite extra-ordinary and stood out among other fried-oyster as it was crispy and with filled with the garlic essences. But it has limited number of oysters to share with.

Before the roundtable discussion started, i had ordered a bowl of asam-laksa and some tidbits for our supper. Literally, the table on that night, was really round. That's how the word, "roundtable" derived from. We were actually discussing and planning our Bali trip.

Btw, it was my first time dining at Ming Tin, Taman Megah. The surrounding was quite romantic with the low-deemed light and opened-air dining place. This place is identical with the one located at Kepong. For sure, I will be coming back again for other foodies as there are many other stalls selling varieties of food.

What comes into your mind when you see and taste this?

Without a shadow of doubt, it is our annual celebration, Chinese New Year! , This year is the year of Tiger which is so co-incidentally falls on the 14th of February. Many people believe that the year of Tiger is not a good year especially for young couples who going to tie the knots or starting new business or even moving into new houses and so forth. This is a kind of custom where it has been inherited from our ancestors.

In this days and ages, there are people who are fully abiding these customs, and there are some who totally ignored and discontinue these customs and there are also some who stays in the middle where 50-50 believe and still practise some part of the custom.
